Economy rebalance: ore repriced, the pet loop revived
Mining was out-earning the intended pet loop by a factor of 3,100. Here is what changed and why.
Several ores drop a handful at a time and were priced per item rather than per block mined. Compounded across a session, mining was out-earning the pet loop by roughly 3,100 times.
What changed
- Sell prices are now judged per block mined, not per item.
- Ore prices repriced across the board.
- The buy/sell invariant is enforced in code: every sell price is checked against the lowest possible buy price for the same item and clamped, so a buy-low-sell-high loop is structurally impossible.
What did not change
Nothing was taken back. We nerf forward, never backward. Every coin earned legitimately under the old rates stayed exactly where it was. That is a settled principle here and it is not up for re-litigation.
