Sell prices raised, and a real economy index is coming
Sell prices were sitting at a fraction of what the shop charges for the same item. Raised across the board, and a live economy index is coming to keep it that way automatically.
What changed
- Sell prices raised across the board. Most items were sitting at a small fraction of what it costs to buy the same thing back, far below a healthy margin. Every price was brought up to a real fraction of its buy price, and nothing was lowered.
- Checked by hand against the shop's own prices item by item, so the raise is safe and does not open a buy-low-sell-high loop.
- Two spawner bugs fixed: the upgrade menu was unreliable and could eat the coins you spent on it, and breaking a stacked spawner could drop the whole stack instead of one. Both are fixed.
Run /sellhand list for the current numbers.
Coming next: the economy index
A system that watches how much money actually exists on the server (total balances, buying, selling) and uses that to keep prices calibrated automatically, instead of a number someone picked once and forgot about.
It starts out only measuring and reporting. Nothing moves on its own until it has run for a while and been checked against reality. Once it does, it is the thing that keeps sell prices, custom enchant costs, spawner upgrades and shop prices honest as the server keeps growing.
What did not change
Nothing was taken back. We nerf forward, never backward. This is a straight buff.
